MICE Tourism in Singapore

There is something of interest shown by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), that the trend of foreign tourists coming to the island apparently belongs to the category of business travelers and MICE who come to Singapore reached 3.2 million in 2011.

Singapore is certainly very concerned about this case, the major contribution of the sector, business travelers and MICE (meetings, incentive, convention and exhibition) shows a 2.6 percent increase over 2010.

Even according to the Regional Director of ASEAN (Islands) and Oceania, Singapore Tourism Board, Kenneth Lim in Jakarta, May 15, 2013, citing travelKompas news, positive notes further describe the first nine months of 2012, business visits and MICE reached 2.5 million tourists .

Travelers from Indonesia who contributed the most travelers to visit Singapore, reaching 35 percent for business travelers and MICE.

"So MICE activities contributed significantly to Singapore's tourism," said Lim.

The "Travel Rave" is a kind of Asian tourism festival to be one of MICE activities in Singapore, when, tourism industry players are invited to share their knowledge.

Singapore is attractive and still a popular destination for incentive programs for companies in the Southeast Asian region.
