Green Hotel Award for Accor Hotels in Indonesia
To six hotels in the Accor network reaching Green Hotel Award 2013 from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Friday, September 27, 2013, the Pullman Jakarta Central Park, Novotel Palembang, Novotel Lampung, Novotel Bandung, Novotel Manado Golf Resort & Convention Centre, and Mercure Surabaya.
Of course this makes the hotel management take pride in their achievements, Gerard Guillouet, Senior Vice President, Accor Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, "This is proof that Planet 21, our ongoing social programs as well as programs Plant for the Planet and A Tree for A Child (ATFAC) has really helped our hotel operations to embed sustainability in their day-to-day," he said quoting a Kompas.com press release, Thursday, October 3, 2013.
Through Planet 21, Accor placed a sustainable social programs as part of the company's business strategy and has affirmed its commitment to environmental and social programs with targets to be achieved by 2015.
Hotel as another form of service is the hotel must meet certain criteria in the surrounding environment, such as water regulators, lighting energy-efficient, recycling program and a food healthy diet.
Tourists certainly support and love it.
