Balinese Dances Proposed for UNESCO Recognition

Balinese dances is widely regarded as one of the characteristics of Balinese culture that is steeped in long tradition philosophy from the past, thus becoming one of the world's cultural icon for Bali tourism.

There are thousands of dance movement, so it still has to work hard to determine which one among thousands to dance was proposed in order to gain international recognition, especially UNESCO.


Quoting I Wayan Rai from the Ministry of Culture of Indonesia, that UNESCO's recognition of Balinese dances and other traditional dances in Indonesia will be able to improve Indonesia's image in the international community.
