"Door to Hell" Derweze Gas Crater

A crater is located about 270 miles north of the capital city of Ashgabat, near the Derweze Village, Turkmenistan. Smoldering crater reached 50 degrees Celsius in the Karakum Desert is one of the stunning 90 thousands hectare nature reserve area.

Containing methane natural gas which is scary for the villagers, and as a result of combustion which is done with the intention to dispose of methane gas, it turns out the crater on fire so far, precisely this event attracts tourists from various countries.

Local authorities are now planning to change it as a unique destination for tourists who love the adventure tourism.
