Responsible traveling for a more sustainable life is the campaign theme of the UN agency that manages the world tourism organization, UNWTO. Tourism has always had two sides, good and bad, with the state hoping for foreign exchange support, but on the other hand impacting the nature and culture of a place.

It is necessary to take steps from many sides, citing the article on the site CNN Indonesia, August 24, anticipating the devastating impacts, so that a UN agency takes immediate action, including through a campaign to enable tourists to support the development of a sustainable tourism industry.

Perhaps you've read the news about some European countries that began to object to the presence of tourists who constantly change the ecosystem, the sense of comfort and security of residents of a tourist area. You can see in Italy or in Spain as the latest example.

The campaign of the UN agency, such as a quote from the Lonely Planet site named Travel.Enjoy.Respect.

As stated by UNWTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai.

"This campaign is an appeal for tourists to respect the existence of nature and culture wherever they are. They can start a better change."

You can see more about the campaign from the UNWTO, Travel.Enjoy.Respect in the form of four tips that can be read and downloaded through the site www.tourism4development2017.org.

It seems easy to implement, consisting of four tips is; courteous to local residents, keeping the environment clean, supporting the local economy, following and respecting the rules.

As is known, the UN agency is hoping the tourists are no longer considered a threat to the country or city to which he came. Of course this refers to the description in the above paragraph that occurred in several cities in Europe began to reject the action of tourists, such as in Venice and Barcelona.

You can also see other examples in the Palau Islands, they transparently do not want tourists barely-sized to come. Looks honest and frank, but has a purpose.

There is always a presumption on tourists who described so, in addition to famous stingy, the tourists are also considered to often pollute the nature.

It may be contemplated and widely understood, all ultimately back to the intended purpose of the UNWTO campaign above. Eco-tourism environment, respect for local traditions and consideration of comfort and security.
