Thailand Most Visited Foreign Tourists in Southeast Asia

Asia increasingly attracting the attention of foreign travelers from countries outside the region. Based on a recent report from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), "Pacific Visitor Arrival Forecasts 2014-2018", noted that Thailand received the international tourist arrivals of 26.5 million visits.

The report was announced at the ASEAN Tourism Forum held in January 2014.


Here's a list of the countries in Southeast Asia based on foreign tourist arrivals in 2013.

1. Thailand - 26.5 million visits
2. Malaysia - 26.3 million
3. Singapore - 15.6 million
4. Indonesia - 8.3 million
5. Vietnam - 7.4 million
6. Philippines - 4.4 million
7. Cambodia - 4.3 million
8. Laos - 3.9 million
9. Myanmar - around 800,000

The above data is not include Brunei Darussalam as the visiting tourist destinations, since the data is processed by the PATA is not final and will always be updated. Furthermore course can be viewed on the website mpower.pata.org.
