Lake Toba is leading the way to Geopark

UNESCO recognition can actually make the natural surroundings in the world's largest volcanic lake becomes more manicured and provide prosperity society. Conserved region for geological reasons, the value of archaeological, ecological, or cultural.

Certainly the journey to recognition takes time, after Batur Caldera in Bali on September 20, 2012, despite the beautiful scenery and landscapes with an interesting history and rich cultural diversity.


Toba region need time to prepare for a lake-based understanding of life, residents are encouraged to maintain a good environment with awareness.
